American Fine Art Features Unique Collection of Robert Stern Glass Art

Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year. Since its founding in 1971 by Dale Chihuly, Anne Gould Hauberg and John Hauberg, Pilchuck has become an international center for glass art education. Robert Stern and the Pilchuck Glass School have had an ongoing relationship for over 20 years, and in celebration of the anniversary, Robert created a series of 180 Leavessels that will be on display at the upcoming Pilchuck Glass School’s 33rd Annual Auction. Ardell Zueger, owner of American Fine Art, in Dallas has been working with Robert Stern to receive the very first large and small designs that were created.

At this time, American Fine Art has a very large selection of unique copyrighted styles created by Robert, and is honored to feature the newest “cutting edge” glass, Pyrographs, and now the Pyroprints with the actual glass that formed the Pyroprint. Ardell says, “We have a complete selection of Pyrographs which are created by pouring molten glass at 2100 degrees over a wood base and creating a new form of unique cutting edge artwork. These new pieces have a unique Organic style.”

Robert has spent years studying under European and American artists and now divides his time between London and his studio in Miami, and his pieces are coveted in places as far-flung as Turkey. American Fine Art has hosted two successful one man shows with Robert Stern and look forward to more in the future, and the Design Guide will make sure to keep our readers informed when the shows are scheduled.
