sofa.com welcomes a flock of sheep to the family
We’re linking up with Saving Rare Breeds - a charity that works to preserve rare breed livestock – to rescue a flock of Manx Loaghtan sheep. Manx Loaghtan are an endangered breed, with only 1000 remaining in the UK. We’re hoping to do our small bit to help save and preserve this breed by rescuing eight sheep - seven ewes and one lucky ram.
Our sofa.com flock is arriving at the Saving Rare Breeds farm in the middle of June. We’ll be keeping you posted on how they’re doing, asking you to help us name them, and of course getting involved in the shearing and then hopefully some lambing next year!
And if you’re wondering why we’re doing this, well…we like doing crazy stuff, we like it even more if it’s worthwhile, and being in the sofa, bed and mattress business means we use quite a lot of wool. So helping these sheep combines the best bits of all of those.
